Park's LEGO League team is part of an international program called FIRST LEGO League.

- It is a formal, competitive organization. Focus is on the learning and fun that take place, but in the end, it IS a competition.
- There are 3 components to FLL: Core Values, Project (problem/solution, research, and oral presentation), and the Game (robotics and coding/programming). Building with LEGOS (building the robot) is a somewhat small part when you look at the whole scope of the program.
- Teams are limited to 10 kids.
FIRST LEGO League Core Values
The FIRST LEGO League Core Values are the cornerstones of the program. They are among the fundamental elements that distinguish FIRST LEGO League from other programs of its kind. By embracing the Core Values, participants learn that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork.
